Spurring a joke that nearly broke the Internet, Google’s founders and co-CEOs, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, stepped down from their roles leading its parent company, Alphabet. Google CEO Sundar Pichai will take responsibility for leading both entities. As reported in The Wall Street Journal, the founders are stepping down at a sensitive time for Google, which has been caught up not only in the general backlash against big tech, but also internal unrest over employee claims of a secretive culture fraught with infighting.

Detective ring

This week, Vice ran a three-part series profile of Amazon’s Ring smart doorbell company, and its evolution from a startup previewed on Shark Tank, to “America’s scariest Surveillance Company.”“Although there’s no credible evidence that Ring actually deters or reduces crime, claiming that its products achieve these things is essential to its marketing model,” writes Caroline Haskins, in detailing Ring’s partnerships with law enforcement and the policing platforms designed to tap into Ring’s video feature. The most disturbing aspect of Ring according to Haskins, however, is the fact that it is just another “node in Amazon’s network of Alexa-enabled smart home devicces.”It’s a fascinating, in-depth piece of reporting that brings forward new insight into the strategies behind Amazon’s acquisition strategy.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
