SHIFT is proud to be continuing last year's award momentum for work with McDonald's owner-operator groups. Hot off the presses, our McDonald’s x Buffalo Bill sponsorship campaign has earned a spot on the 2025 Chief Marketer Top Campaigns of the Year in the “Restaurant Brand” category and is shortlisted in the PRNEWS Platinum Awards for “Restaurant Campaign of the Year” and “Brand Reputation Campaign.”

The campaign, run with agency team partners Moroch and OMD, connected with the fandom through a full-season lineup of Bills-inspired menu strategy, game-day activations, content and cross-channel promotion, netting a 16.9% lift in new app customers and outpaced sales targets by 179%.

The McDonald’s campaign was also recognized in the PR Club Bell Ringer Awards, along with SHIFT work for:

  • Talkdesk: From Call Center Company to AI Innovator – B2B Brand Building
  • Cengage Group: Leading the Conversation on Education's AI Race - Superior Research & Planning
  • Grand Design RVs: Bringing RV Appeal to the Masses – B2C Brand Building
  • Jack Link’s: Sasquatch in the Sky – Special Event

The Jack Link’s campaign, which took the brand’s National Jerky Day sales to new heights, also won in The Drum Awards with a Gold in the CPG and a Bronze in the Experience categories. The work was led by Padilla with support from SHIFT.

It was also a finalist in the PRovoke SABRE and IN2 Awards (in the Publicity Stunt and Experiential Marketing categories, respectively), along with SHIFT’s work launching online dating app PreVue, a contender in the Start-Up Marketing Campaign category.

Comments on SHIFT’s consumer PR award wins by Sara Hood, VP, Consumer:

“In our 13 years working with McDonald’s owner-operator groups, our deep client partnership and integrated agency team approach have allowed us to continually raise the bar on how McDonald’s connects — authentically, meaningfully and impactfully — with its local communities. These recognitions feel great, but the impact we make on the business is even better.”
