Pop The Champagne! Exciting SHIFT News (x2!)

Announcing some exciting news out of not one, but two SHIFT offices: Alan Marcus (NYC) has been promoted to Managing Director and Jennifer Purcell has been hired as Vice President to lead the SHIFT Austin office — congrats, both!

Alan will continue to lead and grow the New York office while expanding his strategic council even more broadly across the firm.

During his tenure, Alan has consistently grown and strengthened the New York office through his leadership on some of SHIFT’s largest clients, including Slimming World and Char-Broil. He and his team also oversee strategic PR efforts for smart fitness technology brand iFit among other emerging consumer lifestyle brands. Recent new business wins include GFT, a global provider of business and software services for the financial service community, and Ogury, the world’s leading mobile data company. In his new role, Alan will continue to raise the bar for award-winning work.

Jennifer will lead the SHIFT Austin office, which celebrated its third year in the Austin market in January, with responsibility for ensuring account management meets our high standards of service.

Prior to joining SHIFT, Purcell spent several years in-house at SunPower and Bazaarvoice after twelve years in the agency world. A majority of her collective experience is in the technology space, including consumer tech, SaaS and semiconductors, and for-profit and non-profit healthcare. She also has a good mix of CPG, energy and education industries under her belt. Past clients include the American Heart Association, Applied Micro Circuits Corporation, AT&T, Curves, Globalstar, IBM, Oasis Brands, Merck, the Methodist Hospital in Houston, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech University.

Jennifer also serves as the Committee Chair for the Central Texas Food Bank’s Austin Restaurant Weeks, and is passionate about giving back to the Austin community.

Congrats, both!
