McDonald’s Blogger Relations Program is a Hit with MomBloggers
To increase blogger awareness and strengthen brand trust by giving back to market influencers, SHIFT arranged for McDonalds’s Chef Jessica and U.S. Director of Social Media Rick Wion to join 17 influential local mombloggers, whom we invited to take a free ride from Boston to the BlogHer show in New York. SHIFT coordinated everything — from invitations to custom-wrapping the bus with McDonald’s branding, to #hashtag wrangling, and more.
This event gave these BlogHer-bound influencers the chance to learn about social media programs at McDonald’s as well as about positive menu changes, when we had them stop off at a McDonald’s restaurant en route.
Buzz about the bus on Twitter and Facebook reached over 100,000 followers and nearly 50,000 fans, and @McDEasternNE made lasting connections with influential bloggers in the local community. Within a span of hours, there were hundreds of Twitter mentions and over 877,000 impressions.
