Increase overall audience, online and at-show, for HIMSS15 and position key HIMSS executives as industry thought leaders

Increase national business and broadcast press coverage mapping back to key thought leadership pillars

Increase social reach via the Social Media Ambassador Program and Blog Carnival

Strategies

Develop multi-media content including infographics to highlight HIMSS research and expertise

Create tailored media pitches tied to key thought leadership pillars and HIMSS research

Expand the Social Media Ambassador program (complimentary conference passes for social media influencers who promote and participate in HIMSS activities)

Results

Hosted more than 200 press and analysts at the conference – an increase of 107% over 2014 – attendees included The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and USA Today

Secured over 1,170 pieces of unique coverage — an increase of 115% over 2014 — resulting in +6M impressions including the Associated Press, Forbes and US News & World Report

Enrolled 18 social influencers in the Social Media Ambassador Program (SMA). Top SMAs increased pre-show reach of HIMSS15 messaging by more than +9M impressions, an increase of 125% over HIMSS14

Total Tweet volume at the event increased 17% YOY making HIMSS the world record holder for the most tweeted conference in healthcare for the 4th year running

Increased Blog Carnival participation by nearly 100 posts, attracting more than 4,000 page views to the website
